on my bookshelf

I still can’t believe June is here… and a new months brings new reads! It’s rather light as far as novels go, since I know it will be a busy month. But as always please leave a comment to share what books are on your bookshelf… and keep reading for my picks…

{Paris in Color by Nichole Robertson} While I’m always in search for books that offer inspiration this one blew me away. The most beautiful photographed images in my all time favorite city… What more could I ask for? I hope it will also feed my Paris craving since a trip isn’t in my near future.

{Cooked by Michael Pollan} As a fan of Mr. Pollan, I’m so excited and can’t wait to dive into his latest. He explores the history and science of transforming food into what we call a meal. I know it will be a read leaving me with a fresh set of eyes on food and cooking… and hopefully inspire me to spend more time in the kitchen!

{The Meaning of Flowers by Gretchen Scoble and Ann Field} I found this book while visiting the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. R and I sometimes go to admire the beyond gorgeous plants, flowers, and trees carefully arranged to coincide with the seasons and holidays, it’s a must-see when visiting Las Vegas. But back to the book… it’s so visually appealing and full of interesting information about the meaning of different flowers.

{Martha Stewart Weddings} I always get so giddy, like a little girl in a doll shop, when the new issue of Weddings comes along. Pages and pages of gorgeous photography and lots of DIY inspiration to incorporate for for any occasion in my book.
